Say Hello to, Dr. Nicole Rous. Nicole is a practising Melbourne veterinarian with almost 15 years’ experience. She is the owner of Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery and Shy Tiger.
Nicole grew up knowing she wanted to be a vet from the age of 6 and never swayed from this vision. Following secondary school in Melbourne she completed a Bachelor of Science with honours at the University of Melbourne before entering the Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. Nine straight years of university! Following graduation Nicole spent a short time practising in the UK before returning to Melbourne.
The past five or so years Nicole has spent more time learning and studying integrative health and nutrition and practising as a holistic veterinarian. She is a member of the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies and has done further study in Aromatherapy. Nicole is passionate about dispelling the myths around fresh food feeding in pets and empowering pet owners through education to help advocate for their pet’s health.
Nicole met our founder Mel over the past couple of years through the insta dog world and the two of them hit it off. Aligning in their vision and enthusiasm to change the status quo of what has been accepted for so many years, Nicole is joining the team at Laila and Me as an ambassador. Nicole is proud to join Laila and Me as they 100% align with her values. Firstly, human grade meat, balanced whole food nutrition, no synthetic fillers and of course Australian made. Nicole is proud to support Laila and Me’s passion to support pet’s health too.
